Project for Traceability in the Honey Chain in Guatemala (STDF/PG/515).
In December 2015, the project implementation began, which included developing a honey traceability system and health education for properly managing beehives. The beneficiaries amount to 2,700 beekeepers, distributed in the different departments of the country. This project aims to reduce the risks of product contamination with pesticides, antibiotics, and others so that the international maintenance of honey and its products' quality becomes a reality.
