Nicaragua and OIRSA
OIRSA, through its representation in NICARAGUA, has been providing technical and financial collaboration for national and regional programs and projects, which have directly contributed to the control and eradication of pests and diseases. An example of this is NICARAGUA 's achievement in eradicating the pink bollworm (Pectinophora gossypiella) on Corn Island and Classical Swine Fever.
Similarly, support is provided to the Competent Authority in addressing National and Regional Phytosanitary Emergencies, such as the African Giant Snail, among others.
Currently, this representation provides technical and financial support for the health and phytosanitary plans of the Nicaraguan Institute for Protection and Agricultural Health (IPSA) through programs and projects, among which the following can be highlighted:
